The "Bright Future" Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to outstanding students demonstrating academic excellence and leadership potential. It covers full tuition fees for the duration of the chosen course.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be a citizen of Uganda.
  • Achieved a minimum grade point average of 4.0 in secondary school.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience through extracurricular activities or community involvement.
  • Must be accepted into a full-time program at HopeEd Uganda.

Application Instructions:

Applicants must submit a completed application form, official transcripts, two letters of recommendation, and a personal essay outlining their academic and career goals. The deadline for applications is July 31st each year.

The "Empowerment Through Education" Scholarship

This scholarship supports female students pursuing vocational training programs at HopeEd Uganda. It aims to empower women and promote gender equality in education.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be a female citizen of Uganda.
  • Must be accepted into a vocational training program at HopeEd Uganda (e.g., tailoring, carpentry, business administration).
  • Demonstrate financial need.
  • Submit a personal statement explaining their motivation for pursuing vocational training.

Application Instructions:

Applicants must submit a completed application form, proof of acceptance into a vocational training program, a financial statement, and a personal statement. The deadline for applications is August 15th each year.

The "Community Impact" Scholarship

Students participating in a community service project, showcasing their commitment to social responsibility.

This scholarship recognizes students who have made significant contributions to their communities through volunteer work or social initiatives. It provides partial tuition assistance to support their continued education.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be a citizen of Uganda.
  • Must be enrolled in a full-time program at HopeEd Uganda.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to community service.
  • Provide evidence of their involvement in community projects or initiatives.
  • Submit a letter of recommendation from a community leader.

Application Instructions:

Applicants must submit a completed application form, proof of enrollment, a detailed description of their community involvement, supporting documentation, and a letter of recommendation. The deadline for applications is September 15th each year.

The "HopeEd Excellence Grant"

A merit-based grant awarded to the top 5% of incoming students based on their academic performance and entrance exam scores. This grant covers 75% of tuition fees for the first academic year.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be a citizen of Uganda.
  • Must be a newly admitted student to HopeEd Uganda.
  • Achieve a top 5% score on the HopeEd Uganda entrance exam.

Application Instructions:

No separate application is required. All newly admitted students are automatically considered for the HopeEd Excellence Grant based on their entrance exam scores. Selected students will be notified by October 1st.

The "Vocational Skills Boost" Scholarship

Designed to encourage students to pursue technical and vocational skills, this scholarship offers financial aid to students enrolled in specific vocational programs, such as welding, electrical engineering, and plumbing. It covers 50% of tuition and provides a stipend for tools and equipment.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be a citizen of Uganda.
  • Must be accepted into a designated vocational program at HopeEd Uganda.
  • Demonstrate a passion for technical skills and a commitment to pursuing a career in the trades.

Application Instructions:

Applicants must submit a completed application form, a personal essay outlining their interest in vocational skills, and a letter of recommendation from a teacher or mentor. The deadline for applications is September 30th.

"The Kampala City Council Education Fund"

In partnership with the Kampala City Council, HopeEd Uganda offers a scholarship specifically for students residing within the Kampala metropolitan area. This scholarship aims to support local talent and contribute to the development of the city.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be a resident of Kampala (proof of residence required).
  • Must be a citizen of Uganda.
  • Must be accepted into a full-time program at HopeEd Uganda.
  • Demonstrate financial need.

Application Instructions:

Applicants must submit a completed application form, proof of Kampala residency (utility bill, rental agreement), a financial statement, and a personal statement outlining their aspirations for contributing to the city of Kampala. The deadline for applications is August 31st.
